ABOUT TRAVELTONE™ GUITARS

Who we are
We are musicians, travelers, luthiers, and engineers who bring together our skills to help solve an age-old problem: how to (conveniently) bring a guitar traveling! We originally designed the TravelTone Guitar to meet our own needs as musicians who weren't fully satisfied with existing travel guitar options. TravelTone Guitars is brought to you by:

◦ Nick Moses, who toils over computer screens and CnC machines to design and build guitars for you.
◦ Laura Williams, who lends her bottomless, dry British wit to our social media and marketing efforts.
◦ Dave Moses, who provides spiritual guidance through his love of Black Sabbath and other rock bands of yore while helping to maintain our manufacturing operation.

In addition, our friends at JayBird Guitars and Valorous Guitars are responsible for helping us with the guitar-building side of our guitar building; teaching us how to make guitars that play nice as well as fold nice. How we work
As a business, we are committed to creating value for our customers and community. This means we work to consider the impacts of every part of our operation. We use local wood species sustainably harvested from salvage operations in the Pacific Northwest. For other components, we seek out vendors whose values and quality we trust. For parts that we have not been able to find with the combination of value or quality we want, we design and build them ourselves. This is why we make components like tuners, pickups, saddles, and string locks.
